Day 1: Arrival in Jamshedpur – Transfer to Makulakocha

Arrive in Jamshedpur and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Makulakocha, the forest settlement at the base of the Dalma range and the entry point to the sanctuary. After checking in at your forest lodge or eco-cottage, visit the Nature Interpretation Centre and the Makulakocha Dam. Spend the late afternoon on the forest trail behind the settlement, ending with sunset over the sal canopy. Overnight stay in Makulakocha.

Day 2: Dalma Range Excursion

Start early and ascend the Dalma hill road through sal and bamboo forest, stopping at the Pinda watchtower and the viewpoints along the climb. Reach Dalma Top for the Shiva temple and the views across the Subarnarekha valley. Return by late morning and rest through the afternoon heat. In the evening, visit Dimna Lake at the foot of the range, followed by the Dalma Mata Mandir. Overnight stay in Makulakocha.

Day 3: Makulakocha – Departure

Start with an early morning walk along the forest path near the gate, the quietest hour for birdlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Transfer to Jamshedpur, stopping at Jubilee Park and the Tata Steel Zoological Park if your departure time allows, before your drop at Sonari airport or Tatanagar railway station.
