Day 1: Arrival in Ranchi – Transfer to Patratu Valley

Arrive in Ranchi and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Patratu Valley, reached by the winding ghat road that drops through forested hills in a series of hairpin bends. Stop at the valley viewpoints along the descent for photographs, then continue to your resort by the lake and check in. In the afternoon, visit Patratu Dam and spend time by the reservoir. End the day at the sunset point above the valley, watching the light change over the water and the hills. Overnight stay in Patratu.

Day 2: Patratu Valley at Leisure

Start with an early morning boat ride on Patratu Lake, subject to water conditions. After breakfast, explore the Nalkari River stretch and the forest paths nearby, followed by the Sikidiri Hydel Project. Afternoon at leisure at the resort. Return to the upper ghat viewpoints in the evening for the valley lights below. Overnight stay in Patratu.

Day 3: Patratu Valley – Hazaribagh

After breakfast, check out and drive to Hazaribagh, set on the plateau at around 2,000 feet and known for its cooler air and tree cover. Check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Hazaribagh Lake and walk its perimeter, followed by the town market and the Jain temples nearby. End the day at Canary Hill for sunset over the town and the surrounding hills. Overnight stay in Hazaribagh.

Day 4: Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary – Ranchi Departure

Start early and drive to Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary at Pokharia, entering through the forest road for the watchtowers and the waterholes along the route, subject to permit and access conditions. Return to the hotel for breakfast and check out. Drive to Ranchi, stopping at Ranchi Lake or Rock Garden if your departure time allows, before your drop at the airport or railway station.
