Day 1: Arrival in pune – Transfer to Panshet

Arrive in Mumbai or Pune and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Panshet, a reservoir in the hills roughly 40 km southwest of Pune, formed by the dam on the Ambi river and set among the Sahyadri foothills. The last stretch runs on narrow village roads. After checking in at your hotel, visit the Panshet Dam and the water sports jetty on the backwaters, where boating and jet skiing operate through the season. End the day at one of the viewpoints above the reservoir for sunset. Overnight stay in Panshet.

Day 2: Sinhagad Fort and the Dam Circuit

After breakfast, drive to Sinhagad Fort, the hill fort above Pune associated with Tanaji Malusare and the battle of 1670. Vehicles reach a car park below the summit, from which a short but steep walk leads to the ramparts, the Tanaji memorial and the viewpoints. The village stalls at the top serve pithla bhakri, curd and kanda bhaji. In the afternoon, continue to the Varasgaon and Temghar dams on the same road system, or take the drive towards Khadakwasla along the reservoir chain. Return to Panshet in the evening. Overnight stay in Panshet.

Day 3: Panshet – Pune Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Stop at Khadakwasla Dam or at the Donje viewpoint on the way down, depending on your departure time, then transfer back to Mumbai or Pune for your onward journey.
