Day 1: Arrival and the Banks of the Mandakini

On arrival at Allahabad (Prayagraj), you will be received and transferred to Chitrakoot (approximately 130 km, indicatively 3 to 3.5 hours by road). After check-in and some rest, proceed to Ram Ghat on the Mandakini River for the evening aarti, one of the most atmospheric moments of the trip, with the ghats lit and the river central to Chitrakoot’s identity as a place associated with Lord Rama’s exile. Overnight stay in Chitrakoot.

Day 2: Guided Pilgrimage Circuit

A full day covering Chitrakoot’s principal sites, sequenced to avoid backtracking rather than visited in the usual tourist order. Begin at Kamadgiri, the hill considered the spiritual centre of Chitrakoot, where the parikrama (circumambulation) around its base is the done thing, on foot, alongside pilgrims. Continue to Hanuman Dhara, a natural spring on a hillside reached by a flight of steps, associated with Hanuman. In the afternoon, visit Gupt Godavari, a pair of narrow limestone caves with a stream running through, and Sati Anasuya, a quieter, forested site a little further out with an ashram and gardens. Return by evening for a second, more unhurried visit to Ram Ghat, either on foot or by boat, if the client wants to see the ghats from the water. Overnight stay in Chitrakoot.

Day 3: Final Darshan and Departure

After breakfast, a short final visit to any site the client wants to revisit, commonly Kamadgiri for a second parikrama or Ram Ghat for a daylight view, before transfer back to Allahabad (approximately 130 km, indicatively 3 to 3.5 hours), timed against the onward journey.
