Day 1: Lucknow to the Forest of Naimisha

On arrival in Lucknow (by flight, train, or road), you will be received and transferred to Naimisharanya (approximately 90 km, indicatively 2 to 2.5 hours by road via Sitapur). After check-in, proceed for your first darshan at Lalita Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peeths, believed to mark the spot where Sati’s heart fell. In the evening, visit Chakra Tirtha, the sacred pond at the heart of Naimisharanya’s mythology, said to mark the spot where Brahma’s discus (chakra) fell and created the sacred circle that gives the region its name. Overnight stay in Naimisharanya.

Day 2: Guided Pilgrimage Circuit

A full day covering Naimisharanya’s principal sites, sequenced to move naturally around the parikrama route rather than backtrack. Begin at Vyas Gaddi, the seat associated with Sage Vyasa, where tradition holds that the Puranas were first narrated to the assembled sages (the “Naimisha” of the Mahabharata and Puranic tradition). Continue to Hanuman Garhi, a temple with an unusually large and revered Hanuman idol. In the afternoon, visit the Kali Peeth and, where the client’s interest and time allow, one or two of the smaller ashrams that dot the parikrama route, several of which are still active centres of Vedic study and recitation. Round off the day with an evening visit back to Chakra Tirtha or Lalita Devi Temple for a quieter, less crowded darshan than the morning brings. Overnight stay in Naimisharanya.

Day 3: Final Darshan and Departure

After breakfast, a short final visit to any site the client wants to revisit, commonly Chakra Tirtha for a daylight view or Lalita Devi Temple for a final darshan, before transfer back to Lucknow (approximately 90 km, indicatively 2 to 2.5 hours), timed against the onward journey.
