Day 1: Mangalore – Udupi

Depart Mangalore by road, approximately 60 to 65 km and 1 to 1.5 hours via NH66. Check in at your hotel by early afternoon. Visit Sri Krishna Matha, founded by the 13th-century Vaishnavite saint Madhvacharya, along with the adjoining Anantheshwara Temple. In the evening, head to Malpe Beach, about 6 to 7 km away, for a walk along the shore and sunset over the Arabian Sea. Overnight stay in Udupi.

Day 2: St. Mary’s Island – Udupi to Murudeshwar

Early start for the ferry from Malpe harbour to St. Mary’s Island, known for its distinctive hexagonal basalt rock formations, seasonal and weather permitting. Return by late morning, check out, and drive to Murudeshwar, about 98 km and 2 to 2.5 hours via NH66. Check in by mid-afternoon, then visit Murudeshwar Temple, home to one of the tallest Shiva statues in the world, and take the lift up the 20-storey Raja Gopura for a coastal view. Evening at Murudeshwar Beach. Overnight stay in Murudeshwar.

Day 3: Netrani Island – Murudeshwar to Gokarna

After breakfast, a boat excursion to Netrani Island, about 8 to 10 km offshore, known for snorkeling and scuba diving, weather and sea conditions permitting. Return by late morning, check out, and drive to Gokarna, about 78 km and 1.5 to 2 hours via the coastal NH66. Check in by evening, with time for a walk at Kudle Beach or Om Beach to settle in. Overnight stay in Gokarna.

Day 4: Gokarna Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Mahabaleshwara Temple, one of the region’s most significant Shiva temples, home to the Atmalinga. Spend the rest of the day beach-hopping, Om Beach and Kudle Beach are road-accessible and good for a relaxed swim, while Half Moon Beach and Paradise Beach are reached only by a cliffside trek or a short boat ride from Om Beach. Evening at leisure by the water. Overnight stay in Gokarna.

Day 5: Gokarna – Mangalore Departure

After a relaxed breakfast, check out and depart on the return drive to Mangalore, approximately 230 km and 4.5 to 5 hours via NH66, retracing the same coastal highway back through Murudeshwar and Udupi, arriving by evening.
