Day 1: Mangalore – Udupi

Depart Mangalore by road, approximately 60 to 65 km and 1 to 1.5 hours via NH66. Check in at your hotel by early afternoon. Visit Sri Krishna Matha, founded by the 13th-century Vaishnavite saint Madhvacharya, along with the adjoining Anantheshwara Temple. In the evening, head to Malpe Beach for a walk along the shore and sunset over the Arabian Sea. Overnight stay in Udupi.

Day 2: St. Mary’s Island, Manipal and Kaup

After an early breakfast, take the ferry from Malpe harbour to St. Mary’s Island, known for its distinctive hexagonal basalt rock formations, seasonal and weather permitting. Return by late morning, then spend the afternoon in Manipal, visiting End Point and the Coin Museum. In the evening, visit Kaup Beach and its 1901 lighthouse. Overnight stay in Udupi.

Day 3: Udupi – Chikkamagaluru

After breakfast, check out and drive to Chikkamagaluru, approximately 110 to 170 km depending on the route taken. Check in by afternoon, then a walk through a coffee estate or a visit to the Coffee Museum. Evening at Hirekolale Lake for a quiet sunset. Overnight stay in Chikkamagaluru.

Day 4: Mullayanagiri, Baba Budangiri and Hebbe Falls

After an early breakfast, drive to Mullayanagiri, Karnataka’s highest peak, with a short walk from the road-accessible point to the summit shrine, weather permitting for the view. Continue to Baba Budangiri, a hill shrine venerated by both Hindu and Muslim communities. In the afternoon, visit Hebbe Falls, reached by a jeep transfer through the estate followed by a short trek. Overnight stay in Chikkamagaluru.

Day 5: Chikkamagaluru – Mangalore Departure

After breakfast, a relaxed morning, Kalhatti Falls or further estate time, before checking out and departing on the return drive to Mangalore, approximately 95 to 100 km and 2.5 to 3 hours via the Charmadi Ghat, arriving by early afternoon.
