Day 01: Kargil Sonmarg and Zojila Pass

On arrival at Srinagar Airport in the morning drive to Kargil via the panoramic village route to Sonmarg (2740 meters), enjoying the scenic valley views; after Sonmarg the road becomes rough and wet as you cross Zojila Pass (3527 meters) gateway to Ladakh, then continue to Drass for a tea break, passport check and a visit to the War Memorial hall and museum before driving the remaining stretch to Kargil (2710 meters) where you arrive for check in. Overnight stay in Kargil.

Day 02: Shyam Valley Mulbek and Fotula Pass

After breakfast depart Kargil for Lamayuru Ule area driving on the Srinagar Leh route, passing through scenic highland terrain and crossing Fotula Pass (approx 13,749 ft); en route visit the first Buddhist settlement at Mulbek with its giant Buddha rock sculpture and enjoy panoramic mountain views before arriving at Shyam Valley for the night. Overnight stay in Ule/ Lamayuru.

Day 03: Leh Alchi and Likir Monastery

After breakfast drive from Lamayuru Ule to Leh; en route visit Alchi and Likir monasteries, view the confluence of Zanskar and Indus rivers at Sangam, stop at the Hall of Fame, experience Magnetic Hill and visit Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, then continue to Leh for check in and overnight. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 04: Leh Sindhu Darshan and Hemis Monastery

After breakfast visit Sindhu Darshan on the banks of the historic Indus River about 7 km from Leh, then proceed to Shey Palace the ancient summer retreat of Ladakhi royalty, visit Hemis Gompa with its rich collection of thangkas and wall paintings, continue to Thiksey monastery perched on a hill, drive past Rancho School Druk White Lotus, visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace and explore the local market before returning to your hotel. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 05: Nubra Valley Khardungla and Diskit

After breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the highest motorable passes (approx 18,390 ft), admire expansive snow capped ranges and descend to Nubra; after hotel check in enjoy optional adventure activities like ATV rides (on direct payment), visit Diskit monastery and the 108 ft Maitreya Buddha, explore Hunder village and the cold desert with its sand dunes and twin humped Bactrian camels, with camel rides available on direct payment. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 06: Pangong Lake Shyok and Tangtse

Depart Nubra and drive back toward Leh until Khalsar, then turn left at Agyam bridge to follow the Shyok and Durbuk route, continue via Tangtse and reach Pangong Lake situated at about 14,000 ft; spend time exploring the lake shores, visit the 03 Idiot shooting point, sample local food at lakeside eateries and enjoy the spectacular color changing sunset over the lake. Overnight stay in Pangong Lake area.

Day 07: Leh Changla Pass and Return

Early morning enjoy the sunrise over Pangong Lake, then after breakfast drive back to Leh with a halt at Changla Pass for hot tea and photos; arrive in Leh and spend the rest of the day at leisure to relax or explore the local market. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 08: Leh Departure Airport Transfer

Early morning transfer to Leh airport for your onward flight; the tour concludes with sweet memories of Ladakh.
