Day 1: Bangalore – Belur

Depart Bangalore by road, approximately 220 to 230 km and around 5 hours via NH75 through Hassan. Check in at your hotel by mid-afternoon. Visit Chennakeshava Temple, built in 1117 CE by the Hoysala king Vishnuvardhana, known for its intricate Madanika sculptures and Narasimha pillar. Overnight stay in Belur.

Day 2: Halebid

After breakfast, drive to Halebid, about 16 km away, to see Hoysaleswara Temple and the adjoining Kedareshwara Temple, among the finest examples of Hoysala stone carving anywhere in Karnataka. Return to Belur by evening, with time for the town’s smaller shrines and market at leisure. Overnight stay in Belur.

Day 3: Belur – Hampi

After an early breakfast, check out and depart on the long drive to Hampi, approximately 330 to 350 km and 7 to 8 hours via Hassan and Chitradurga. Arrive by evening and check in. Overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 4: Hampi Sightseeing – Bazaar Group

After breakfast, visit Virupaksha Temple, Hemakuta Hill, and the Royal Enclosure zone, covering the Elephant Stables, Lotus Mahal, Queen’s Bath, and the Underground Shiva Temple. Evening sunset from Matanga Hill. Overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 5: Hampi Sightseeing – Vittala Temple Group

After breakfast, visit Vittala Temple, home to the stone chariot and pillared mandapa, followed by Hazara Rama Temple. In the afternoon, an optional coracle ride across the Tungabhadra, water levels permitting. Overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 6: Hampi – Badami

After breakfast, check out and drive to Badami, approximately 140 km and 3.5 hours. Check in by early afternoon, then visit Badami Cave Temples, the four rock-cut sanctuaries overlooking Agastya Lake, followed by the Bhutanatha Temple group. Overnight stay in Badami.

Day 7: Badami Fort and Museum

After breakfast, visit Badami Fort and the Archaeological Museum, a more relaxed day to take in the town at a slower pace after the transfers of the preceding days. Overnight stay in Badami.

Day 8: Badami – Bangalore Departure

After breakfast, check out and depart on the return drive to Bangalore, approximately 450 km and 8 to 9 hours, arriving late evening.
