Day 01: Arrival at Bagdogra and 28 Basti Dooars Forests

Namaste!!! You will be greeted by our representative at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Station and proceed towards 28 Basti driving through the scenic Dooars with views of tea gardens and forests including Mahananda, Chapramari, Jaldapara and Buxa Tiger Reserve while crossing rivers like Teesta, Jaldhaka, Torsha and Kaljani; upon arrival check in to your homestay, have lunch and relax, spend the evening at leisure gazing at the Sinchula range or taking short walks nearby, enjoy dinner.Evening and overnight stay in 28 Basti.

Day 02: 28 Basti Buxa Fort and Jayanti River

After breakfast start a full day excursion to Buxa Fort via Santalabari where the motorable road ends and an easy 5 kilometre trek through the Himalayan foothills leads to the historic Buxa Fort (altitude approx 867 metres) with its colonial and pre colonial significance; return to Santalabari and proceed to Jayanti village beside the Jayanti River for scenic riverine forest views and chances of elephant and bison sightings, then visit Rajabhatkhawa to explore the Nature Interpretation Centre for insights into Buxa ecology and biodiversity, return to your homestay for dinner. Overnight stay in 28 Basti.

Day 03: 28 Basti to Sikiajhora Boat Safari Spot

After breakfast check out from your homestay and drive approximately 26 kilometres to Sikiajhora, check in to your resort and relax, spend the afternoon enjoying the riverside forest atmosphere and in the evening experience a recommended boat safari on the Sikiajhora river (best early morning or evening for wildlife sightings) and visit the adjoining watch tower for panoramic views of the river and Bhutan Himalayan horizon, return to the resort for dinner. Overnight stay in Sikiajhora.

Day 04: Sikiajhora Raimatang and Chilapata

After breakfast depart for a morning excursion to Raimatang (about 32 kilometres) travelling through dense forests and dry river beds to enjoy the watch tower views of jungle, waterbed and Bhutan Himalayas, return by noon and after lunch proceed to Chilapata where you may arrange a jeep safari on your own for a thrilling experience inside the dense Chilapata forest on the banks of the Torsha river, watch the sunset from Mendabari watch tower and return to your resort by late evening for dinner. Overnight stay in Sikiajhora.

Day 05: Sikiajhora to Sisamara via Jaldapara

After breakfast check out from your resort and proceed about 60 kilometres to Sisamara crossing the Torsha river and passing through Jaldapara National Park, check in to your resort on the banks of the Sisamara river and relax, spend the evening at leisure in this tranquil offbeat location where wildlife such as elephants and bisons may be seen from the resort, enjoy dinner. Overnight stay in Sisamara.

Day 06: Jaldapara Elephant Ride and South Khayerbari Park

Early morning proceed to the elephant riding point for a thrilling approximately one hour elephant ride through the semi dense jungle of Jaldapara, return to the resort for breakfast and later visit South Khayerbari Nature Park (a rescue and rehabilitation centre for tigers and leopards) with optional boating on the Buri Torsha river; post lunch you may take an afternoon jeep safari in Jaldapara on your own arrangement for wildlife viewing near Hollong Tourist Lodge, return to your resort for dinner. Overnight stay in Sisamara.

Day 07: Sisamara Departure to Bagdogra and New Jalpaiguri
