Day 01: Almaty Arrival and Airport Transfer

Welcome to Almaty, City of a thousand colours. After clearing customs and immigration and collecting your baggage you will be met by your English speaking guide in the arrival hall and escorted to your vehicle where chocolates and refreshing napkins will be served and complimentary Wi Fi is available onboard; please ask your guide for login details. You will be transferred to your hotel for check in and time to relax, followed by dinner at a restaurant of your choice in the evening and hotel drop off for a good night sleep. Day 02: Almaty Butakovka Gorge and Shymbulak

After breakfast at the hotel you will proceed to Butakovka Gorge for a scenic mountain escape surrounded by pine forests and hiking trails, with time to relax and visit Café Butakty for local cuisine and views, then continue to Shymbulak Ski Resort via gondola Level 3 where non skiers can enjoy cafes and restaurants, an observation deck with rotating binoculars, a playground and optional adventure activities such as zip lining, paragliding and horse riding; enjoy lunch in Shymbulak or at a restaurant back in the city, return to the hotel for dinner as per your choice and hotel drop off for the night. Day 03: Almaty Issyk Lake and City Tour

After breakfast you will drive through the spectacular Trans Ily Alatau gorges along the Kuldja tract and visit Issyk Lake where you can hike to the cliffs known as the Kremlin walls, see burial mounds from the Saka period, visit the Ostrich Farm and Issyk Barrow, relax by the turquoise waters and take photographs; later enjoy an Almaty city tour visiting First President Park, Republic Square, the State Opera and Ballet Theatre, museums at the Academy of Sciences, Abay Square, Kazakhstan Hotel and Palace of the Republic, followed by Panfilov Park and the magnificent Zenkov Cathedral with its unique architecture; lunch will be at an Indian restaurant and dinner is on your own before hotel drop off and rest.
