Day 01: Almaty Arrival and Hotel Checkin

Upon arrival in Almaty you will clear customs and baggage and be met in the arrival hall by your English speaking guide who will escort you to your waiting vehicle; chocolates and refreshing napkins will be served on board and complimentary Wi Fi is available (ask your guide for login details). You will be transferred to your hotel for check in and time to relax before dinner at a restaurant of your choice. Hotel drop off and overnight rest following the day’s arrival formalities. Day 02: Almaty Butakovka Gorge and Shymbulak

After breakfast at the hotel you will proceed to Butakovka Gorge and onward to Shymbulak Ski Resort via the gondola (Level three gondola access as per itinerary) for a scenic mountain escape among pine forests and alpine trails; enjoy Café Butakty or mountaintop cafés and the Shymbulak observation deck, playground and dining options, with optional adventure activities available at the resort such as zip lining, paragliding and horse riding for those who wish to take them. Enjoy lunch in Shymbulak or at a restaurant of your choice back in the city, then return to Almaty for dinner at your chosen restaurant and hotel drop off. Overnight stay in Almaty.

Day 03: Almaty Hobbit Waterfall and Big Almaty Lake

Following breakfast at the hotel you will visit the scenic Hobbit Waterfall and the magnificent Big Almaty Lake, taking in sweeping mountain vistas, fresh alpine air and memorable natural landscapes ideal for photography and short walks; later enjoy lunch at an Indian restaurant and spend the evening at leisure with dinner of your choice and hotel drop off. Day 04: Almaty Kolsai Lakes and Charyn Canyon

After breakfast you will set off on a full day excursion to Kolsai Lakes and Charyn Canyon, experiencing stunning alpine lakes, dramatic canyon landscapes and opportunities to sample regional cuisine at nearby restaurants, bars and cafés; lunch in a local café before proceeding to Kolsai is on your own. After a scenic return drive to Almaty through mountain villages and valleys you will have dinner at your chosen restaurant and be dropped at the hotel for the night. Overnight stay in Almaty.

Day 05: Almaty Departure and Airport Transfer

Early morning packed breakfast will be provided; complete check out between 0400 and 0430 hours and your driver will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight or journey home, concluding the tour.
