Day 1: Arrival in Jodhpur – Guda Bishnoi Lake & Wildlife

Arrive in Jodhpur and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Check in at your hotel, then head out by jeep to Guda Bishnoi village and its lake, watching for blackbuck and chinkara, and, in season, the migratory demoiselle cranes that gather here. Meet Bishnoi families along the way and learn about the community’s centuries-old environmental customs and daily life. Return to Jodhpur in the evening. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 2: Khejarli, Salawas & Singhasni

A full day through the Bishnoi villages southeast of the city. Visit Khejarli, site of the 1730 massacre in which 363 Bishnois gave their lives protecting the village’s khejri trees from being felled by the king’s soldiers, an act widely credited with inspiring later conservation movements across India. Continue to Salawas, known for its traditional durrie and carpet weaving, and Singhasni, a village of potters, with a stop at Gudha village if time allows, known locally for its resident peacocks. Return to Jodhpur by evening. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 3: Jodhpur Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport or railway station for onward departure.
