Day 1: Arrival at Dumka – Transfer to Massanjore

Arrive at Dumka railway station and meet our tour representative on the platform. Transfer to Massanjore, set on the Mayurakshi river in the Santhal Parganas. After checking in at your hotel or lodge above the reservoir, visit Massanjore Dam and walk the length of the dam wall. Continue to the Canada Bagan gardens laid out beside it. End the day at the reservoir viewpoint, watching the sunset over the water and the low hills across it. Overnight stay in Massanjore.

Day 2: Massanjore Sightseeing

After breakfast, take a boat ride on the Mayurakshi reservoir, subject to water conditions and operator availability. Visit the Irrigation Department bungalow area and the forest paths along the shoreline. In the afternoon, drive to Baba Basukinath Temple at Basukinath, followed by the Santhal villages on the Dumka road. Return to Massanjore in the evening for the dam viewpoint. Overnight stay in Massanjore.

Day 3: Massanjore – Dumka Departure

Start with an early morning walk along the reservoir shoreline, the quietest hour for birdlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Drive to Dumka, visiting Shiv Pahar and the local market if your train time allows, before your drop at Dumka railway station for departure.
