Day 1: Arrival in Udaipur – Transfer to Banswara

Arrive in Udaipur and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Banswara, approximately 165 km and around 3.5 to 4 hours by road, into a part of Rajasthan that looks nothing like the desert imagery most travellers expect, green hills, teak forest and water at every turn. Check in at your hotel, then spend the afternoon at Anand Sagar Lake, fringed by cenotaphs and a pair of sacred, centuries-old Kalpavriksha trees. In the evening, walk to Dailab Lake for its lotus blooms and a quiet sunset. Overnight stay in Banswara.

Day 2: Mahi Dam, Chacha Kota & Bhil Tribal Culture

After breakfast, visit Mahi Bajaj Sagar Dam, the second largest in Rajasthan, and continue to Chacha Kota for the view that gives Banswara its name, the dam’s backwaters dotted with what look like a hundred small islands. In the afternoon, visit the local market near City Palace for Bhil tribal jewellery, bamboo crafts and textiles, and learn about the customs and cuisine of the Bhil community who make up the heart of this region. Round out the day with a visit to Tripura Sundari Temple or the ancient Arthuna temple ruins. Overnight stay in Banswara.

Day 3: Banswara – Udaipur Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Udaipur, approximately 3.5 to 4 hours by road, for onward departure.
