Day 1: Bangalore – B R Hills

Depart Bangalore by road, approximately 170 to 200 km and 4 to 4.5 hours, typically via Kanakapura and Kollegal. An optional stop en route at Shivanasamudra’s Gaganachukki Falls, a striking waterfall on the Kaveri, water flow permitting. Check in at your eco-resort by early to mid-afternoon. Visit Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and set at the hilltop with sweeping views across the sanctuary. Evening at leisure at your resort. Overnight stay in B R Hills.

Day 2: K Gudi Jeep Safari and Soliga Community

Early start for a jeep safari at K Gudi, about 18 to 20 km from the temple, run through the resort, lasting around two hours through one of the few forest stretches connecting the Western and Eastern Ghats. In the afternoon, a guided walk with Soliga guides, the indigenous community that has lived in these forests for generations and holds recognised rights to their ancestral land within the tiger reserve, learning about their traditional honey and forest-produce gathering. A second safari session in the evening, the other prime wildlife-viewing window, for those who want to improve their chances of a sighting. Overnight stay in B R Hills.

Day 3: Nature Walk – B R Hills to Bangalore Departure

After breakfast, a relaxed nature walk near the resort, or a visit to the region’s ancient champak tree, believed to be around 2,000 years old. Check out and depart on the return drive to Bangalore, arriving by early evening.
