Day 01: Arrival at Darjeeling and Mall Road

Meet the tour leader and the group at New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport and drive to Darjeeling, a scenic road of approximately 90 km taking around 3.5 hours that climbs through tea estates and pine forests with a tea and snack stop en route; check in at your hotel and rest, then in the late afternoon take an easy walk to Chowrasta and the Mall Road for tea and your first view of the town’s old buildings followed by dinner at the hotel or a nearby café. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 02: Tiger Hill Sunrise in Darjeeling

Set out before dawn for Tiger Hill, about 11 km from town, to watch the sun rise over the Kanchenjunga range (weather permitting); return for breakfast at the hotel then visit Ghum Monastery and the Batasia Loop with its war memorial and panoramic views of the town, keep the afternoon free for rest, and in the late afternoon enjoy the heritage toy train ride from Darjeeling to Ghum subject to availability, then a free evening on Mall Road. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 03: Tea Estate Visit and Transfer to Kalimpong

After breakfast visit a nearby Darjeeling tea estate to observe tea plucking and processing and enjoy a tasting, and if time allows stop at the Peace Pagoda; after lunch check out and drive to Kalimpong, approximately 50 km and around 2.5 to 3 hours by road descending toward the Teesta valley and climbing again to the quieter hill town, check in at your hotel and take an easy evening stroll. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

Day 04: Durpin Dara and Flower Nurseries in Kalimpong

After breakfast drive up to Durpin Dara hill to visit Zang Dhok Palri Phodang Monastery with its sacred Buddhist texts and relics and broad ridge views, continue to Tharpa Choling Monastery and Mangal Dham temple then visit one of Kalimpong’s renowned flower nurseries known for orchids and cacti; after lunch walk through the town market, browse local cheese and handicraft shops, visit the Dr Graham’s Homes area and end the day at Deolo Hill viewpoint toward sunset. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

Day 05: Market Morning and Departure from Kalimpong

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and spend a short morning at the market or a nursery for last-minute purchases, check out and drive down to New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport, approximately 75 km and around 3 hours by road, timed to your onward train or flight. Tour ends on arrival at NJP or Bagdogra.
