Day 01: Arrival in Darjeeling with Chowrasta and Mall Road

Meet the tour leader and the women-only group at New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport and drive to Darjeeling (approximately 90 km, around 3.5 hours) climbing through tea estates and pine forests with a tea and snack stop en route; check in at the hotel and rest, then in the late afternoon walk to Chowrasta and Mall Road for tea, shopping and the first views of the town’s old buildings and visit Observatory Hill if light allows; dinner at the hotel or a nearby café. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 02: Tiger Hill Sunrise and Ghum Monastery

Set out before dawn for Tiger Hill (about 11 km from town) to watch the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range, weather permitting; return for breakfast and then visit Ghum Monastery and Batasia Loop with its war memorial and panoramic views of Darjeeling, with optional stops at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the adjoining zoo time permitting; after lunch visit a nearby tea estate to see tea plucking and processing followed by a tasting, and in the late afternoon take the heritage toy train ride from Darjeeling to Ghum subject to availability; evening free on Mall Road. Day 03: Morning in Darjeeling with Peace Pagoda

After a relaxed breakfast spend a short morning at the Peace Pagoda or the local market for tea and souvenirs, check out and drive down to New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport for your onward journey, allowing around 3.5 hours for the drive and timed to your train or flight.
