Day 1: Arrival in Betul – Balajipuram & Sadar Bazaar

Arrive in Betul and meet our tour representative at the Nagpur airport/ railway station. Betul sits on the main line and on NH 47 in the southern Satpura belt, about 650 m above sea level, a cooler, greener corner of Madhya Pradesh. Check in at your hotel, then in the afternoon visit the Balajipuram temple complex, known for its architecture and hill setting, and walk the Sadar Bazaar for a feel of small-town Satpura life and local souvenirs. This is a gentle arrival day that eases into the district’s slower pace. Overnight stay in Betul.

Day 2: Muktagiri – The Jain Temple Valley & Waterfall

The heart of the tour. After an early breakfast, drive to Muktagiri (Mendhagiri), roughly 90 to 110 km and around 2.5 to 3 hours toward the Maharashtra border, a Digambar Jain pilgrimage set in a forested valley, 52 numbered temples climbing the hillsides, the oldest a cave, most dating to the 13th-14th century. The revered Temple No. 26 is dedicated to Parshvanatha. The setting is the point as much as the temples: langurs in the trees, greenery on all sides, and, at the end of the monsoon, a natural waterfall beside the upper temples best seen in the morning. This involves real trekking up the hill, wear proper shoes. Return to Betul in the evening. Overnight stay in Betul.

Day 3: Multai (Tapti Source) or Kukru Hills – Departure

After breakfast, check out and choose the closing note that suits the traveller. For a spiritual-and-nature finish, drive to Multai, the town built around the Tapti Udgam, the sacred tank held to be the source of the Tapti river, one of the few major Indian rivers flowing east to west. For a pure-nature finish, head toward the Kukru hills, the small Satpura hill station known for coffee plantations, windmills and Satpura valley views (note Kukru is a longer drive and better suited to travellers with more time). Then transfer to your onward point at Nagpur airport/ station. Trip ends on departure.
