Day 1: Arrival in Dimapur – Transfer to Kohima

Upon arrival at Dimapur Airport, meet your representative and begin your journey to Kohima. En route, explore some local stores and craft shops, stopping for a refreshing cup of tea. On reaching Kohima, check in to your accommodation and unwind. Dinner will be served at the property. Overnight stay in Kohima.

Day 2: Exploring Kohima

After breakfast, set out to explore the vibrant local market in Kohima, followed by visits to Kigwema and Kisama villages, where you can witness the region’s rich cultural heritage. Later, drive to Khonoma, a village known for its conservation efforts. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the buffer zone of the Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary. While in Khonoma, explore ceremonial gates, cairn circles, age group houses, morungs, and the Mr. G. H. Damant Memorial. Return to Kohima in the evening. Overnight stay in Kohima.

Day 3: Kohima to Tuophema

After breakfast, visit Kohima village and meet a local elder who has an extensive collection of World War II artifacts and captivating stories of the war. Continue to the World War II Cemetery and the State Museum to learn about the region’s history. Later, drive to Tuophema for an overnight stay. Overnight stay in Tuophema.

Day 4: Tuophema to Mokokchung

Today, head north towards Mokokchung, the land of the Ao Nagas. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and, in the evening, visit an Ao Naga village to gain insights into the cultural differences among various tribes. Overnight stay in Mokokchung.

Day 5: Exploring Mokokchung

Spend the day exploring the Ao Naga villages around Mokokchung. Visit the Museum at Impur Village and explore Mopungchuket and Sangratsu villages to learn about the unique Ao Naga traditions. In the evening, visit Mokokchung village and Ungma, one of the oldest Ao villages. Overnight stay in Mokokchung.

Day 6: Departure – Mokokchung to Jorhat

After breakfast, drive to Jorhat to connect with your flight for your onward journey. Bid farewell to the mystic hills of the Nagas as you conclude your journey.
