Day 01: Tarangire National Park Elephant Herds

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be warmly greeted by your driver who will be holding a sign with your name, assist with your luggage and transfer you to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive through Tarangire, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and the life-giving Tarangire River which attracts abundant wildlife; expect to see giraffes, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, lions, leopards, impala, gazelles, dik dik and a rich variety of birds including bee eaters, swallows and kori bustards. Lunch will be served at a picnic site during the day, and after the game drive you will drive to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Overnight stay in Tarangire National Park.

Day 02: Central Serengeti Maasai Boma and Olduvai

After breakfast check out and begin the scenic drive to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying the changing landscapes en route. Stop to register at Nabi Hill Gate and enjoy a picnic lunch, then visit a traditional Maasai Boma to learn about Maasai customs and lifestyle before proceeding to Olduvai Gorge to learn about key paleoanthropological discoveries and human evolution. Continue the drive with game viewing en route to Central Serengeti where you may encounter big cats, elephants and other wildlife; later check in at your camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight stay in Central Serengeti.

Day 03: Central Serengeti Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast at the lodge spend a full day game driving in the Central Serengeti, exploring the vast endless plains and the rich Seronera area where the Seronera River sustains abundant wildlife and numerous lion prides. The Serengeti supports the Big Five and a huge concentration of plains game—keep an eye out for lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, rhino and elegant antelopes such as impala. A picnic lunch will be served during your game viewing, and later you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Overnight stay in Central Serengeti.

Day 04: Ngorongoro Crater Rim Descent

After breakfast depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, spend a few minutes at the Crater Rim to admire the view, then descend into the crater for a memorable game drive with a picnic lunch inside this UNESCO World Heritage Site which supports a permanent population of more than 30,000 animals. Inside the crater you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, black rhino and many bird species. Late afternoon ascend from the crater and drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight. Overnight stay in Karatu.

Day 05: Kilimanjaro International Airport Transfer

After breakfast at the lodge you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your onward flight back home. No overnight stay.
