Day 1: Transfer to Bhalukpong

Upon arrival at Guwahati Station or Guwahati Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Bhalukpong. After check-in, spend the evening at leisure with a soft birdwatching trek near the Jia Bhorali River Banks. This area is known for sightings of birds such as the Great Hornbill, Long-tailed Broadbill, and White-naped Yuhina. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.

Day 2: Short Excursion & Full-Day Birdwatching

After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Sessa Wildlife Sanctuary. Spend the day birdwatching and exploring the sanctuary, which is home to species such as the Beautiful Nuthatch, Ward’s Trogon, and Broad-billed Warbler. The sanctuary’s rich biodiversity and dense forests offer a unique birding experience. Return to your accommodation in Bhalukpong for an evening at leisure and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Mandala

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Mandala through the scenic Dirang Valley. En route, you may spot species like the Fire-tailed Myzornis, Rusty-bellied Shortwing, and Blanford’s Rosefinch. Upon arrival in Mandala, check in to a rustic lodge. Spend the evening at leisure with a soft birdwatching trek around the lodge. Overnight stay at Mandala.

Day 4: Full-Day Birdwatching

After breakfast, birdwatching for the rest of the day. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Mandala.After breakfast, dedicate the entire day to birdwatching in the Mandala region. This area is known for its diverse avian population, including species such as the Temminck’s Tragopan, Blyth’s Tragopan, and Ward’s Trogon. The rich forests and varied elevations provide excellent opportunities for spotting these and many other birds. Return to your lodge for an evening at leisure and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Guwahati

After breakfast, check out from your lodge and transfer to Guwahati Station or Guwahati Airport. As you travel back, reflect on the incredible birdwatching experiences and the diverse species you encountered during the tour. The tour concludes with happy memories of the rich birdlife in Sessa and Mandala.
