Day 1: Arrival in Pune – Transfer to Wai

Arrive in Mumbai or Pune and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Wai, a temple town on the Krishna river in Satara district, around 35 km below Mahabaleshwar. The river here runs past a series of stone ghats built through the Peshwa period. After checking in at your hotel, visit the Dholya Ganpati Temple on the Ganpati Ghat, where a large seated idol sits in an open stone mandap facing the river. Walk the Kashi Vishweshwar Temple and the ghats along the water. End the day on the riverside as the evening lamps go on. Overnight stay in Wai.

Day 2: Menavali, Dhom and Pandavgad

After breakfast, drive to Menavali, around 3 km away, for the Nana Phadnavis Wada and the riverside ghat beside it, with the Meneshwar temple and its old bell brought from Vasai. Continue to the Dhom Dam and its backwaters, where the reservoir sits below the Pandavgad and Kamalgad ridges. Travellers who want a climb can take the Pandavgad Fort trail from Menavali village, roughly two hours up through forest with rock-cut caves near the summit. In the afternoon, visit the Kaleshwari and Mahaganapati temples in the older lanes of the town, and the local ghats that are still in daily use. Overnight stay in Wai.

Day 3: Wai – Pune Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Drive up to Panchgani for Table Land and Parsi Point, or visit the Bhairavnath Temple at Kikli and the Pasarni Ghat viewpoints, depending on your departure time. Transfer back to Mumbai or Pune for your onward journey.
