Day 1: Arrival in Dehradun / Haridwar – Transfer to Ukhimath

Arrive in Dehradun or Haridwar and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Ukhimath, a temple town at roughly 1,300 m above the Mandakini valley, best known as the winter seat of Kedarnath. The drive covers roughly 180 km from Haridwar and 200 km from Dehradun, taking 7 to 8 hours along the Rishikesh-Devprayag-Srinagar-Rudraprayag road before the climb from Kund. Plan an early start and a lunch halt at Rudraprayag. Break the journey briefly at Devprayag for the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi confluence, where the Ganga formally begins. After checking in at your hotel, walk to the Omkareshwar Temple for the evening aarti, where the deities of Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar are housed through the winter months. Overnight stay in Ukhimath.

Day 2: Ukhimath Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit the Omkareshwar Temple complex properly in daylight for the older shrines and the Usha-Aniruddha association that gives the town its name. Continue to Kalimath, roughly 15 km away, one of the Shakti Peethas of Garhwal, set beside the Saraswati stream. Return via Guptkashi for the Vishwanath Temple and the Manikarnik Kund, with the Chaukhamba range visible across the valley on a clear day. In the afternoon, drive up the Chopta road as far as Dugalbitta for the deodar stretch and the ridge views, or take the short walk to Ransi village for the terraced fields and the Mandakini valley from above. Overnight stay in Ukhimath.

Day 3: Ukhimath – Dehradun / Haridwar Departure

Start with an early visit to the Ukhimath viewpoint for first light on the Chaukhamba range, followed by a walk through the old town lanes. Return to the hotel for breakfast, check out, and begin the descent by mid-morning, allowing the full day for the return. Depending on your schedule, stop at Rudraprayag for the Alaknanda and Mandakini confluence and the Jim Corbett leopard memorial, and at Devprayag, before continuing through Rishikesh and transferring to Dehradun airport or Haridwar railway station for your onward journey.
