Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai – Transfer to Nashik

Arrive in Mumbai or Pune and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Nashik, roughly 170 km from Mumbai and 210 km from Pune, on the banks of the Godavari. After checking in at your hotel, visit Panchavati and the Kalaram Temple, then the Sita Gufa and the Ramkund bathing ghat. End the day at the Godavari ghats during the evening aarti. Overnight stay in Nashik.

Day 2: Trimbakeshwar and Brahmagiri

An early start for Trimbakeshwar, around 30 km from Nashik, for darshan at the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, set below the Brahmagiri hill from which the Godavari rises. The present temple was built in the 18th century under the Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao, in black basalt with carved panels along the shikhara. Queues are substantial and the morning should be kept clear for it. Later, visit the Kushavarta Kund, the tank regarded as the river’s source point, and the Nivrittinath Samadhi Temple nearby. Travellers who want the climb can take the Brahmagiri steps, a stepped ascent of roughly 500 to 700 steps to the Gangadwar and the hilltop, which needs two to three hours in total. Return to Nashik in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Nashik.

Day 3: Nashik – Mumbai Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Visit the Pandavleni Caves on the hillside above the city, a group of 24 Buddhist rock-cut caves of the early centuries CE, or the Muktidham temple, or take a vineyard visit on the Gangapur road, depending on your departure time. Transfer back to Mumbai or Pune for your onward journey.
