Day 1: Arrival at Kochin/Ernakulam
Upon arrival at Kochin/Ernakulam, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your accommodation in Thattekad. After check-in, spend the evening at leisure, exploring the surroundings or simply relaxing. Overnight stay at Thattekad.
Day 2: Thattekad Birding and Local Sightseeing
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a full day of birding and sightseeing. Begin with a visit to the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, renowned for its rich avian diversity. Enjoy birdwatching and spot species such as the Malabar Grey Hornbill, Ceylon Frogmouth, and Indian Pitta. Continue your birding exploration with visits to nearby attractions including Nadukani, a beautiful hill station offering panoramic views, and Bhoothathankettu, a scenic dam and forest area. If time permits, explore Malayattoor, a notable birding site, and the nearby Kodanad Elephant Training Centre. Return to your accommodation for an overnight stay at Thattekad.
Day 3: Transfer to Kochin/Ernakulam
After breakfast, check out from your accommodation and transfer back to Kochin/Ernakulam. En route, you may opt to visit Kalady, known for its birdlife and serene atmosphere. Continue to Wellington Island and Bolgatty Palace, both offering historical insights and picturesque views. If time allows, explore the vibrant Mattancherry area, known for its birdwatching opportunities and the iconic Jewish Synagogue.
