Day 1: Mangalore – Ottinene Beach Area

Depart Mangalore by road, approximately 125 km and 2.5 to 3 hours via NH66, past Kundapura and Byndoor. Check in at your accommodation in Byndoor or Kundapura town by early afternoon. In the evening, visit Ottinene Beach itself, a secluded, Forest Department-maintained stretch of rock and sand off NH66, with Someshwara Temple nearby right on the shore, genuinely one of the quietest, most peaceful sunset spots on this coast. Overnight stay in Byndoor or Kundapura.

Day 2: Kollur Mookambika Temple and Maravanthe

After breakfast, a day trip to Kollur to visit Sri Mookambika Temple, one of South India’s most significant Shakti pilgrimage sites, with a stop at Maravanthe Beach along the way, the striking stretch where the highway runs narrow between the Arabian Sea and the Souparnika river. Return by evening. Overnight stay in Byndoor or Kundapura.

Day 3: Local Leisure – Mangalore Departure

After a relaxed breakfast, spend the morning at leisure, a walk on Byndoor’s own beach or a quiet visit to Kundapura town. Check out and depart on the return drive to Mangalore, arriving by early to mid-afternoon.
