Day 1: Bangalore – Nandi Hills

Depart Bangalore by road, approximately 60 to 65 km and 1.5 to 2 hours via NH44, more with weekend traffic. Check in at your resort in the Nandi Hills area by early afternoon. After lunch, visit Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple at the base of the hills, a roughly 1,200-year-old Shiva temple complex built across the Chola, Hoysala and Vijayanagara periods, followed by Tipu’s Summer Residence and Amrita Sarovar. In the evening, head up to the hilltop for sunset from Tipu’s Drop. Overnight stay near Nandi Hills.

Day 2: Sunrise at Nandi Hills – Leisure and Local Exploration

Early start for sunrise from the Nandi Hills viewpoint, ideally before the weekend crowds build up. Return to the resort for breakfast, then a relaxed late morning at leisure, walking trails, birdwatching, or time at the resort itself. In the afternoon, visit Muddenahalli, about 15 to 20 km away, home to the memorial and museum of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay near Nandi Hills.

Day 3: Nandi Hills – Bangalore Departure

After a relaxed breakfast, check out. En route back to Bangalore, stop at Devanahalli Fort, a 16th-century mud fort associated with Tipu Sultan’s birthplace and conveniently placed near the airport side of the route, before continuing on to Bangalore, arriving by early afternoon.
