Discover the timeless charm of 2N/3D Mandawa Tour, a short yet immersive journey into the fresco-filled havelis and historic forts of Mandawa and nearby Shekhawati towns. Beginning and ending, this 2N/3D Mandawa Tour showcases Mandawa Fort, ornate mansions, stepwells, and the cultural fusion of Rajput and Mughal heritage.
Arrive in Jaipur and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Mandawa, approximately 170 to 190 km and around 3.5 to 4 hours by road, the town most people picture when they think of Shekhawati’s painted havelis. Check in at your hotel, then walk through Mandawa’s lanes with a local guide, starting at Mandawa Fort itself, its entrance carved with real detail, before moving through Chokhani Haveli, Ladia Haveli, and Binsidhar Newatia Haveli, whose frescoes cover an unusually varied range of subjects for the region, steam trains, telephones, hunting scenes, animals, alongside the more familiar mythological and courtly imagery. The whole town functions as an open-air gallery, worth simply wandering between stops rather than rushing a fixed list. Overnight stay in Mandawa.
A full day out to two nearby Shekhawati towns rarely covered on a standard circuit. Visit Mukundgarh, about 17 to 25 km from Mandawa, for its own fort and havelis and a look at traditional stepwell architecture. Continue to Dundlod, a similar distance away, for its far larger fort, a genuine fusion of Mughal and Rajput design, with stained glass windows, an old library and a collection of period antiques, alongside the Goenka Haveli and Goenka cenotaph nearby. Return to Mandawa for the evening. Overnight stay in Mandawa.
After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Jaipur, approximately 3.5 to 4 hours by road, for onward departure.

Mandawa was like walking through a living art gallery. The frescoes at Chokhani Haveli, Ladia Haveli and Binsidhar Newatia Haveli were incredible, especially the unusual paintings of trains, telephones and everyday scenes. I also enjoyed simply walking through the old lanes and discovering the beautifully preserved architecture.
A fantastic heritage experience in the heart of Shekhawati. Mandawa Fort was impressive, but the excursion to Mukundgarh and Dundlod made the trip even more interesting. Dundlod Fort with its stained glass, old library and period antiques was a particular highlight for me.
I really enjoyed this slower-paced Rajasthan tour focused on architecture and local history. The colourful havelis and detailed fresco work throughout Mandawa were beautiful, and the visit to Mukundgarh gave us a nice glimpse of traditional stepwell architecture. Dundlod’s fort and the Goenka Haveli were equally fascinating. A memorable cultural getaway.
