Day 1: Arrival in Malshej Ghat – Transfer and Leisure

Arrive in Mumbai or Pune and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Malshej Ghat, a mountain pass in the Western Ghats on the Kalyan-Ahmednagar road, known for its waterfalls, cloud-covered ridges and roadside viewpoints. The last stretch climbs through the ghat section with the falls visible from the road itself. After checking in at your hotel, visit Malshej Falls and the ghat viewpoints along the pass. If the season is right, continue to Pimpalgaon Joga Dam, where flamingos are sometimes seen between the monsoon and early winter. Overnight stay at Malshej Ghat.

Day 2: Malshej Ghat – Full Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive towards Khireshwar village at the base of Harishchandragad, one of the older hill forts in the region. Travellers who want the full ascent should plan for a demanding full-day trek; those who prefer a shorter walk can take the lower forest trail and return. In the afternoon, visit the Shivneri Fort near Junnar, the birthplace of Shivaji, or the Lenyadri Caves depending on your interest and pace. Return to Malshej Ghat in the evening. Overnight stay at Malshej Ghat.

Day 3: Departure from Malshej Ghat

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Stop at the Pimpalgaon Joga Dam backwaters or at the ghat viewpoints for a last stretch of the valley, then transfer back to Mumbai or Pune for your onward journey.
