Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai / Pune – Transfer to Lonavala
Arrive in Mumbai or Pune and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Lonavala, a hill town in the Sahyadris known for its valley views, monsoon greenery and easy pace. After checking in at your hotel, visit Lonavala Lake and Bhushi Dam. Continue to Tiger Point for wide views across the valley, then to Lion Point for sunset. Overnight stay in Lonavala.
Day 2: Excursion to Karla, Bhaja and Pawna Lake
After breakfast, drive to the Karla Caves, a rock-cut Buddhist chaitya dating to the 2nd century BCE, reached by a flight of steps from the road. Visit the Ekvira Devi Temple at the same site. Continue to the Bhaja Caves, quieter and less crowded, with a group of stupas and a seasonal waterfall alongside. In the afternoon, head to Pawna Lake for sunset over the water and the surrounding forts. Return to Lonavala for your overnight stay.
Day 3: Lonavala – Mumbai / Pune Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Stop at Lonavala market for chikki and fudge if time permits, then transfer back to Mumbai or Pune for your onward journey.
