Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai / Pune – Transfer to Kolad

Arrive in Mumbai or Pune and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Kolad in Raigad district, a village on the Kundalika river below the Bhira dam, roughly 120 km from Mumbai and 110 km from Pune. After checking in at your hotel, visit the Tamhini Ghat road above the village, wooded and running with seasonal waterfalls, or the Kundalika river bank near the rafting start point. End the day at the Bhira Dam backwaters or at your property by the river. Overnight stay in Kolad.

Day 2: Kundalika Rafting and the Waterfall Circuit

An early start for white water rafting on the Kundalika, which runs on water released from the Bhira dam. The stretch covers roughly 12 to 14 km and takes two to three hours, with rapids graded around II to III depending on release volume. Operators provide safety briefing, helmets and life jackets. After the run and a late breakfast, visit the Kuda Caves near Tala, a group of Buddhist rock-cut caves of the early centuries CE, or drive to Devkund Waterfall base if you are travelling with a guide and have the day for it. In the afternoon, visit the Ballaleshwar Temple at Pali, one of the Ashtavinayak shrines, and the Sarasgad Fort base above it. Return to your property in the evening. Overnight stay in Kolad.

Day 3: Kolad – Mumbai / Pune Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Stop at the Bhira Dam viewpoint or at the Ghangad or Sudhagad fort base depending on your departure time, then transfer back to Mumbai or Pune for your onward journey.
