Day 1: Arrival in Karjat & Sightseeing

Arrive in Mumbai or Pune and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Karjat, a river valley town at the base of the Sahyadris, known for its waterfalls, old rock-cut caves and riverside stays. After checking in at your hotel, visit the Kondeshwar Temple, an old stone Shiva temple set in a small forest clearing with a natural spring. Continue to Bhivpuri Waterfall in the afternoon. End the day on the banks of the Ulhas River as the light drops over the hills. Overnight stay in Karjat.

Day 2: Exploring Karjat

After breakfast, drive to Kondana village and walk up to the Kondana Caves, a group of 16 Buddhist rock-cut caves from around the 1st century BCE, reached by a forest trail of roughly 1.5 km with a steady climb. Return for lunch, then continue to Zenith Waterfall near Khopoli, one of the tallest falls in the region during the rains. In the evening, return to your hotel for a slower end to the day by the river. Overnight stay in Karjat.

Day 3: Departure from Karjat

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Depending on your departure time, stop at the Ashtavinayak temple at Pali or take the short detour to the Ulhas Valley viewpoint above Bhivpuri, then transfer back to Mumbai or Pune for your onward journey.
