Day 1: Arrival in Dehradun / Haridwar – Transfer to Kanatal

Arrive in Dehradun or Haridwar and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Kanatal, a small ridge settlement at roughly 2,590 m on the Chamba-Mussoorie road, sitting in deodar and oak forest with camp properties spread along the slopes. The drive covers roughly 78 km from Dehradun and takes 2.5 to 3 hours through Mussoorie and Dhanaulti; from Haridwar allow 4 to 4.5 hours. After checking in at your camp or hotel, visit the Tehri Lake and Tehri Dam viewpoints on the Chamba road, where the reservoir opens up below. End the day at the Kanatal ridge for the last light over the valley, with a bonfire at the property if the season allows. Overnight stay in Kanatal.

Day 2: Kanatal and Surkanda Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive to Kaddukhal for Surkanda Devi Temple at roughly 2,750 m, reached either by ropeway or a steep 1.5 km walk, with the range visible across a wide arc on a clear morning. Continue to Dhanaulti for Eco Park, laid out as the adjoining Amber and Dhara forest parks, and walk the trails under old deodars. In the afternoon, return towards Kanatal for the adventure activities at the camps, zip lining, rappelling, valley crossing and rock climbing, or drive out to Kodia Jungle for the forest trail and birding. End the day at the Kanatal Apple Orchard. Overnight stay in Kanatal.

Day 3: Kanatal – Dehradun / Haridwar Departure

Start with an early walk on the ridge for first light on the Himalayan range, followed by a short visit to the Kanatal village lanes and the old apple terraces. Return to the hotel for breakfast, check out, and descend towards the valley. Depending on your departure time, stop at Mussoorie for Mall Road and Camel’s Back Road, or at Kempty Falls on the descent, before transferring to Dehradun airport, or continue to Haridwar for your onward journey.
