Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur – Bandhani, Gota-Patti & Bazaar Walk

Arrive in Jaipur and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Check in at your hotel, then spend the afternoon in Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, walking through Jaipur’s textile heartland with a guide explaining Bandhani tie-dye and gota-patti, the technique of stitching gold and silver ribbon onto fabric, as you browse block-printed cottons and quilts along the way. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 2: Sanganer & Bagru Block Printing Villages

A full day exploring two genuinely different printing traditions just outside the city. In the morning, visit Sanganer, known for delicate floral motifs, jasmine, lotus and marigold, printed on pale cotton with fine precision. In the afternoon, continue to Bagru, whose craftsmen migrated here from across Rajasthan some 300 years ago and built a bolder tradition around dabu, a mud-resist technique using clay, gum and lime to block dye and create sharp geometric patterns with vegetable colours. Try a hands-on printing session at one of the workshops. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 3: Leheriya Tie-Dye Workshop – Departure

A morning hands-on workshop in Leheriya, Rajasthan’s distinctive wave-patterned tie-dye technique, learning to tie and dye a piece yourself under a local artisan’s guidance. After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport or railway station for onward departure.
