Day 1: Arrival in Igatpuri – Vipassana and Sunset Views

Arrive in Mumbai or Pune and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Igatpuri, a hill town in the Western Ghats on the Mumbai-Nashik road, set among the highest peaks of the Sahyadris. The approach climbs through the Thal Ghat section. After checking in at your hotel, visit Camel Valley and its waterfall, then continue to the Bhatsa River Valley viewpoint for the drop into the ghat. End the day at Tringalwadi Lake or at the Vaitarna backwaters, depending on your route. Overnight stay in Igatpuri.

Day 2: Igatpuri Sightseeing and Adventure

After breakfast, drive towards Bari village at the base of Kalsubai, the highest peak in Maharashtra at 1,646 metres. Travellers who want the summit should plan a demanding half-day climb with an early start; those who prefer a shorter walk can take the lower trail and return. Continue to Bhandardara for Arthur Lake, the Wilson Dam and the Randha Falls, which run strongest in and just after the monsoon. Visit Amruteshwar Temple at Ratanwadi if time allows, an 11th-century stone temple in the Hemadpanthi style. Return to Igatpuri in the evening. Overnight stay in Igatpuri.

Day 3: Departure from Igatpuri

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Visit the Tringalwadi Fort base or stop at the Ghatandevi Temple and the ghat viewpoints, depending on your departure time, then transfer back to Mumbai or Pune for your onward journey.
