Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur – Transfer to Bharatpur – Afternoon Birding Safari

Arrive in Jaipur and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Bharatpur, approximately 178 to 200 km and around 3 hours by road, home to Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage and Ramsar wetland site widely regarded as one of the finest bird reserves in the world. Check in at your hotel, then head straight into the park for an afternoon cycle-rickshaw safari, no motor vehicles are permitted inside, watching for painted storks, herons and cormorants at their breeding colonies, along with the resident Sarus Crane moving through the wetlands. Overnight stay in Bharatpur.

Day 2: Full Day Birding & Nature Walk

An early dawn safari for the park’s most active hours, when bird activity peaks. Carry water and food for the stretch, entry tickets are generally valid for a single admission, so plan the day around one extended visit rather than leaving and returning. In the afternoon or evening, a second session on foot or by rickshaw through a different section of the park, watching for nilgai, jackal and the park’s other resident mammals alongside the birdlife. Overnight stay in Bharatpur.

Day 3: Bharatpur – Jaipur Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Jaipur, approximately 3 hours by road, for onward departure. Travellers continuing toward Agra, only about 55 to 60 km and around an hour away, can just as easily route that direction instead.
