Day 01: Arrival and Rome Welcome

Welcome to Rome! Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel and have free time to settle in and explore at your own pace. In the afternoon, important tour information will be available on the boards located at the hotel reception. Overnight stay in Rome.

Day 02: Eternal City Exploration

Today, embark on a panoramic tour of Rome, Italy’s capital. From the comfort of our bus, we’ll view iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and grand basilicas, immersing ourselves in the history and beauty of this open-air museum. The tour culminates in Vatican City, where we recommend visiting St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums. The afternoon is free for independent exploration. In the evening, we’ll transfer to Trastevere, a lively neighborhood with traditional restaurants. Please note: Due to the Jubilee Year celebrations, mobility restrictions may apply. Day 03: Leisure in Rome

Enjoy a full day of free time to further discover the wonders of Rome. Consider taking an optional excursion to Naples, Capri, and Pompeii for a memorable experience. Overnight stay in Rome.

Day 04: Umbrian Wonders & Siena

Today’s adventure begins with an enchanting journey through Umbria. We will visit Orvieto, a medieval city perched atop a summit, where we’ll admire the breathtaking views from its viewpoint and marvel at the cathedral, a masterpiece of Italian Gothic art. Next, we travel to Castiglione del Lago, nestled on Lake Trasimeno, for a leisurely stroll and lunch. Finally, we continue to Siena, Tuscany, famous for Piazza del Campo and Duomo, to spend the afternoon. Overnight stay in Siena.

Day 05: Medieval Tuscany & Florence

We’ll depart Siena and stop at Monteriggioni, a magical medieval village with cobbled streets and ancient walls. Afterwards, we continue to San Gimignano, a charming city with tall medieval towers. After lunch, we’ll travel to Florence, arriving in the early afternoon. In the afternoon, consider visiting the Uffizi Gallery or the Accademia Gallery. A traditional local meal will be included at the end of the day. Overnight stay in Florence.

Day 06: Renaissance Florence Unveiled

After capturing a photo at the Michelangelo viewpoint, with its breathtaking city views, we’ll embark on a guided tour of Florence. Marvel at the Gothic Cathedral (Duomo di Firenze), the Ponte Vecchio with its goldsmith stores, and Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of the city. The remainder of the day is free for your own exploration. Overnight stay in Florence.

Day 07: Pisa, Cinque Terre, Genoa

We’ll travel to Pisa, where a little tourist train will take us to the Piazza dei Miracoli, home to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Then, we’ll head to the Ligurian Riviera, visiting Cinque Terre by train. Here we’ll enjoy time for lunch in one of its charming towns (typically Vernazza, but on busy days, it could be Manarola or Corniglia). Afterwards, we’ll travel by train to Levanto, then take the bus to Genoa, a city that once was a thriving republic in the Middle Ages. Overnight stay in Genoa.

Day 08: Portofino & Milan

Today’s journey continues to Santa Margherita Ligure, where we’ll embark for Portofino, an exclusive coastal destination for a stroll by the sea. After lunch, we continue to Milan, where we recommend a visit to the cathedral. Overnight stay in Milan.

Day 09: Italian Lakes & Verona

Today we will see the Italian Lakes region, beginning with a train ride to the medieval center of Orta San Giulio on Lake Orta, followed by a boat to the Island of San Giulio, with its monastery. After this, we’ll go on to Lake Maggiore, stopping in Stresa, where we’ll have the option to visit the Borromean Islands. We´ll have some time for lunch and then we’ll head to Verona. Overnight stay in Verona.

Day 10: Verona & Venetian Arrival

Enjoy time to explore Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, before departing for Venice, arriving around 01:00 p.m. A boat trip to St. Mark’s Square is included, followed by a guided walking tour of the City of Canals, including a visit to see Murano glasswork. Afterwards, enjoy some leisure time – perhaps a gondola ride? Overnight stay in Mestre (Venice area).

Day 11: Venice – Journey’s End

After breakfast, our tour comes to an end, leaving you with lasting memories.
