Day 1: Arrival in Bhubaneswar – Transfer to Keonjhar – Sanaghagara Waterfall

Arrive in Bhubaneswar and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Keonjhar (Kendujhar), roughly 223 to 235 km and around 4 to 5 hours by road. Check in at your hotel or a nature camp near town. In the late afternoon, visit Sanaghagara Waterfall, just 5 to 6 km from Keonjhar town, where the Machha Kandana river drops about 30 metres through two stages into a well-maintained forest park with boating on the pond below. Overnight stay in Keonjhar.

Day 2: Badaghagara Waterfall, Gonasika and the Source of the Baitarani

After breakfast, visit Badaghagara Waterfall, about 9 km from town and just 3 km downstream of Sanaghagara, a taller 60-metre drop through dense forest. In the afternoon, drive to Gonasika, roughly 26 km further, revered as the mythological source of the Baitarani river – a distinctive rock formation locals liken to a cow’s nostril, from which the sacred Guptaganga spring is believed to emerge. Return to Keonjhar for the evening. Overnight stay in Keonjhar.

Day 3: Maa Tarini Temple, Ghatagaon – Gundichaghagi Waterfall

After an early breakfast, transfer to Ghatagaon, roughly 45 to 50 km and around 1.5 hours from Keonjhar, to visit the Maa Tarini Temple – one of Odisha’s most significant Shakti pilgrimage sites, set amid Sal forest, with a legend recounting how the goddess chose to remain here on her journey from Puri. Coconut is the traditional offering, and photography inside the shrine is not permitted. After the temple visit, continue a further 11 to 15 km to Gundichaghagi Waterfall, a popular and less crowded picnic spot to unwind after the pilgrimage stop. Return to Keonjhar for the evening. Overnight stay in Keonjhar.

Day 4: Keonjhar – Bhubaneswar Departure

A relaxed final morning before breakfast. Check out and transfer back to Bhubaneswar, roughly 223 to 235 km and around 4 to 5 hours by road, in time for your onward train or flight. Overnight journey onward.
