Day 1: Arrival in Berhampur – Ascent to Daringbadi – Evening by the Fire

Arrive in Berhampur (Brahmapur) and meet our tour representative at the railway station. Set off on the climb to Daringbadi, roughly 115 to 125 km and around 4 hours by winding Ghat road into the Kandhamal hills, with optional stops en route at the Taptapani sulphur hot spring and the Jeerang Buddhist monastery. The road itself is the experience — plains give way to pine, coffee gardens and cool air as you climb to 3,000 feet. Check in at the Daringbadi Nature Camp or a hill resort. The evening is best spent simply: the temperature drops sharply after dark, so settle in by a bonfire with the mountain quiet. Overnight stay in Daringbadi.

Day 2: Daringbadi Sightseeing – Pine, Coffee, Valleys and Viewpoints

A full day among the hill station’s spread-out sights. Visit the pine jungle and the coffee and pepper plantations that give Daringbadi its character, the Emu farm at Kirikuti (about 14 km out), Lover’s Point where the Doluri river winds through the valley (about 13 km), the Butterfly Park and the sunset viewpoint. Day 3: Descent to Gopalpur – Sea and Lighthouse

After breakfast, check out and descend from the hills to the coast, transferring to Gopalpur-on-Sea, roughly 130 to 140 km and around 4 hours by road via Berhampur. The contrast is the point — from cold pine hills to a warm golden beach in a single day. Check in at your beachfront hotel or the OTDC Panthanivas. Spend the late afternoon on the calm, swimmable sand, ending at the colonial-era lighthouse for a panoramic view over town and the Bay of Bengal. Overnight stay in Gopalpur.

Day 4: Gopalpur Morning – Berhampur Departure
