Day 1: Arrival in Jodhpur – Toorji Ka Jhalra & Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park

Arrive in Jodhpur and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Check in at your hotel, then walk through the old city’s blue-washed lanes to Toorji Ka Jhalra, a beautifully restored 18th-century stepwell now ringed by cafes. In the afternoon, walk through Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park just below Mehrangarh Fort, a 70-hectare stretch of ecologically restored native desert flora set among ancient volcanic rock formations, a genuinely different way to experience the landscape beneath the fort. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 2: Bishnoi Village Safari

A full day by jeep through the Bishnoi villages southeast of the city, a community renowned across India for its centuries-old commitment to environmental conservation. Visit Guda Bishnoi Lake, home to blackbuck, chinkara and, in season, migratory demoiselle cranes, before continuing to Khejarli, site of the 1730 massacre in which 363 Bishnois gave their lives protecting the village’s khejri trees from being felled, an event widely credited with inspiring later conservation movements across India. Continue to Salawas, a village of traditional durrie and carpet weavers, and Singhasni, known for its pottery. Return to Jodhpur by evening. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 3: Mandore Gardens & Kaylana Lake

After breakfast, visit Mandore Gardens, the former seat of the Rathore rulers before Jodhpur was founded, for its cenotaphs, deer park and the rock-cut Hall of Heroes. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening, head to Kaylana Lake, a quieter alternative to the city’s more crowded viewpoints, for sunset. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 4: Jodhpur Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport or railway station for onward departure.
