Day 1: Bangalore – Hassan

Depart Bangalore by road, approximately 185 to 190 km and 3.5 to 4 hours via NH75. Check in at your hotel by early afternoon. In the afternoon, drive to Belur, about 35 to 40 km away, to visit Chennakeshava Temple, built in 1117 CE by the Hoysala king Vishnuvardhana, one of the three temples inscribed together as UNESCO’s Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas. Return to Hassan by evening. Overnight stay in Hassan.

Day 2: Halebid

After breakfast, drive to Halebid, about 30 to 32 km away, to see Hoysaleswara Temple and the adjoining Kedareshwara Temple, the second of the three UNESCO-listed Hoysala sites, among the finest examples of Hoysala stone carving anywhere in Karnataka. Overnight stay in Hassan.

Day 3: Sravanabelagola and Somnathpura

After breakfast, check out and drive to Sravanabelagola, about 50 km away, home to the 57-foot monolithic Gomateshwara statue, one of the largest free-standing statues in the world, reached by a climb of roughly 600 steps. Continue toward Mysore, then on to Somnathpura, the third and final UNESCO-listed Hoysala site, home to Chennakesava Temple on the banks of the Kaveri, built in 1258 CE and notably well-preserved. Check in at your hotel in Mysore by evening. Overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 4: Mysore – Bangalore Departure

After a relaxed breakfast, check out and depart on the return drive to Bangalore, approximately 150 km and 3 to 3.5 hours via NH275, arriving by early afternoon.
