Day 1: Bangalore – Hampi

Depart Bangalore early morning by road, approximately 330 to 350 km and 6.5 to 7 hours via NH48 and NH50 through Chitradurga. Check in at your hotel on the Hampi Bazaar side by evening. Overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 2: Hampi Sightseeing – Bazaar Group

After breakfast, visit Virupaksha Temple, the region’s oldest continuously functioning temple, followed by a walk up Hemakuta Hill. Close the day with sunset from Matanga Hill. Overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 3: Hampi Sightseeing – Royal Enclosure and Vittala Temple

After breakfast, visit the Royal Enclosure zone, covering the Elephant Stables, Lotus Mahal, Queen’s Bath, and the Underground Shiva Temple, followed by Hazara Rama Temple. In the afternoon, visit Vittala Temple, home to the stone chariot and pillared mandapa. Evening at leisure, with an optional coracle ride across the Tungabhadra, water levels permitting. Overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 4: Hampi – Badami

After breakfast, check out and drive to Badami, approximately 140 km and 3.5 hours. Check in by early afternoon, then visit Badami Cave Temples, the four rock-cut sanctuaries overlooking Agastya Lake, followed by the Bhutanatha Temple group. Overnight stay in Badami.

Day 5: Pattadakal and Aihole

After an early breakfast, drive to Pattadakal, about 22 km, a UNESCO World Heritage cluster marking the transition point of Chalukya temple architecture. Continue to Aihole, a further 14 km, known as the cradle of Hindu temple architecture, the Durga Temple chief among them. Return to Badami by evening. Overnight stay in Badami.

Day 6: Bijapur (Vijayapura) Day Trip

After an early breakfast, drive to Bijapur, about 130 km and 2.5 to 3 hours, the former capital of the Adil Shahi dynasty. Visit Gol Gumbaz, home to one of the largest single-chamber domes in the world and its famous whispering gallery, followed by Ibrahim Rauza, often called the Taj Mahal of the Deccan. Return to Badami by evening. Overnight stay in Badami.

Day 7: Badami – Bangalore Departure

After breakfast, check out and depart on the return drive to Bangalore, approximately 450 km and 8 to 9 hours, arriving late evening.
