Day 1: Arrival in Dehradun / Haridwar – Transfer to Rudraprayag

Arrive in Dehradun or Haridwar and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Rudraprayag, the town at the meeting of the Alaknanda and the Mandakini, roughly 140 km from Haridwar and 160 km from Dehradun, taking 5 to 6 hours along the Rishikesh-Devprayag-Srinagar road. Break the journey at Devprayag for the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi confluence, where the Ganga formally begins, and take a short halt at Srinagar. After checking in at your hotel, walk down to the Rudraprayag Sangam and the Rudranath Temple beside it, and end the day at the memorial marking the shooting of the Leopard of Rudraprayag by Jim Corbett in 1926. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.

Day 2: Rudraprayag – Guptkashi – Ukhimath

After breakfast, drive along the Mandakini towards Kund, stopping at Guptkashi for the Vishwanath Temple and the Manikarnik Kund, with the Chaukhamba range visible across the valley on a clear day. Continue to Ukhimath, a temple town at roughly 1,300 m best known as the winter seat of Kedarnath, arriving by early afternoon. After checking in, visit the Omkareshwar Temple complex, where the deities of Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar are housed from November to April, and stay on for the evening aarti. Overnight stay in Ukhimath.

Day 3: Kalimath, Sari and Deoria Tal

After an early breakfast, drive to Sari village, 12 km away, and begin the 2.5 km paved climb to Deoria Tal, a lake at roughly 2,400 m that carries the Chaukhamba reflection on still mornings. Allow 1.5 hours up and an hour down, with time at the far shore where the view opens out. Descend to Sari and return towards Ukhimath. In the afternoon, drive to Kalimath, roughly 15 km away, one of the Shakti Peethas of Garhwal, set beside the Saraswati stream and quieter than most temples on this route. Return via Ransi village for the terraced fields and the Mandakini valley from above. Those who prefer a lighter day can replace Deoria Tal with a drive up the Chopta road as far as Dugalbitta for the deodar stretch and the ridge views. Overnight stay in Ukhimath.

Day 4: Ukhimath – Dehradun / Haridwar Departure

Start with an early visit to the Ukhimath viewpoint for first light on the Chaukhamba range, followed by a walk through the old town lanes and a last darshan at Omkareshwar. Return to the hotel for breakfast, check out, and begin the descent by mid-morning, allowing the full day for the return. Depending on your schedule, stop at Rudraprayag Sangam and at Devprayag before continuing through Rishikesh, transferring to Dehradun airport or Haridwar railway station for your onward journey.
