Day 01: Arrival and Leh Acclimatization

Experience a breathtaking flight over the Himalayas, witnessing the snow-capped peaks of Stok Kangri and Nun-Kun Massif (weather permitting). As the plane descends, you’ll see Leh town with its monasteries, stupas, and Leh Palace. Upon arrival, a Kailash Expeditions representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome tea/coffee, then rest for the day to acclimatize to the altitude. In the late afternoon, health permitting, drive to Shanti Stupa and stay back. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 02: Leh Local Sightseeing

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, embark on a tour of the Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Kali Temple, and Sangam (the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers). At Sangam, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy river rafting on the Zanskar. The Hall of Fame, built by the Indian Army, is a tribute to soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil War. Gurdwara Patthar Sahib commemorates Guru Nanak’s visit to the region. Witness the unusual phenomenon of Magnetic Hill where your car seems to move uphill with its engine off. Return to Leh in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 03: Nubra Valley Via Khardungla

After an early breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, the highest motorable road in the world. The zig-zag trail continues until you reach Hunder village. Check into your hotel or camp upon arrival. Spend the afternoon enjoying the beauty of the sand dunes and opt for a double-humped camel ride. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley (Camp or Hotel).

Day 04: Turtuk Village Exploration

Embark on an early morning drive to Turtuk village, a former Baltistan region known for its unique landscape and culture. Located approximately 115 km from Nubra Valley, Turtuk is home to a population of around 4000 people who primarily follow Islam and speak the Baltistan language. Explore the village, interact with locals, and immerse yourself in their way of life. Later, return to Hunder for the night. Overnight stay in Hunder (Camps or Hotel).

Day 05: Siachen Base Camp Excursion

After breakfast, head to the base camp of the Siachen Glacier, the world’s highest and most challenging battlefield. Although the main glacier is accessible only through difficult climbing expeditions, you can visit the OP Baba temple and the war memorial at the base. Later, return to Sumur, making a stop at the Panamik hot water springs. Overnight stay in Sumur.

Day 06: Pangong Lake Via Shayok

Wake up early for a visit to Diskit Monastery, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Nubra Valley. Then, drive to Pangong Lake via the Shayok route. Upon arrival at Pangong, take pleasure in the beautiful turquoise color of the lake and the breathtaking scenery surrounding it. Don’t forget to take pictures at popular spots, including the “3 Idiots” shooting location. Overnight stay in Pangong Lake (Camp).

Day 07: Return to Leh via Monasteries

Enjoy a leisurely morning around Pangong Lake, soaking in the natural beauty. Later, begin your drive back to Leh, visiting the Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace along the way (if you didn’t visit them on a previous day). Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 08: Departure From Leh

After an early breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your flight to Delhi and onward destinations, cherishing the sweet memories of your Ladakh adventure.
