Day 1: Lucerne

Arrive in Lucerne by train (2nd class) from the Swiss border or airport. If time permits, you can visit Mt. Rigi, known as the Queen of Mountains. Enjoy the stunning views of lakes and mountains on the golden round trip from Arth Goldau to Rigi Kulm, then to Vitznau, and back to Lucerne. This journey includes rides on a cogwheel train and a boat. Overnight stay in Lucerne.

Day 2: Lucerne – Mt. Pilatus

Begin your day with a romantic boat trip on Lake Lucerne. Follow this with a spectacular ride on the world’s steepest cogwheel railway to Pilatus Kulm, at an elevation of 2132 meters (7000 feet). Descend via the aerial cableway ‘Dragon Ride’ and the panorama gondolas to Kriens, and then take bus number 1 back to Lucerne. The Golden Round Trip can also be done in reverse. Overnight stay in Lucerne.

Day 3: Lucerne to Lugano – Swissminiatur Park

Travel by train from Lucerne to Lugano. Visit Swissminiatur, located in Melide, a short 7-minute train ride from Lugano. This park spans 14,000 sqm and features over 120 miniature models of Swiss attractions, including the Matterhorn, Jungfrau, Chapel Bridge, Chillon Castle, and various cathedrals and buildings of Switzerland. Overnight stay in Lugano.

Day 4: Lugano – Bernina Express – St. Moritz

Today, embark on the Bernina Express of the Rhaetian Railway along the UNESCO World Heritage route. This Alpine switchback ride takes you from towering glaciers down to the swaying palms of Italy. The Bernina Express is the highest railway line across the Alps, linking Northern and Southern Europe spectacularly. The Bernina Express coach takes you to Tirano, where you can enjoy an optional lunch break before boarding the train to St. Moritz. Overnight stay in St. Moritz.

Day 5: St. Moritz – Glacier Express – Zermatt

Board the Glacier Express for an extraordinary 8-hour rail journey. This slowest express train in the world takes you across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels, and over the Oberalp Pass at 2033 meters. Travel in comfort through unspoiled natural beauty, fragrant mountain forests, peaceful Alpine meadows, and rushing mountain streams. Overnight stay in Zermatt.

Day 6: Zermatt – Gornergrat

At an altitude of 3,089 meters, visit Gornergrat, one of Switzerland’s top excursion destinations since 1898. Board the cogwheel railway to the Gornergrat for views of the majestic Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, and other spectacular summits. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Zermatt.

Day 7: Zermatt to Montreux

Travel by regional train through the Valais, known for its excellent wines, to Montreux. We recommend visiting Chillon Castle, a moated castle on the shores of Lake Geneva. Overnight stay in Montreux.

Day 8: Montreux – GoldenPass Line – Gstaad – Glacier 3000

Experience the GoldenPass Line from Montreux to Gstaad. Take a bus to reach the Glacier 3000 base station at Col du Pillon. Take a cable car to the top and enjoy activities like the Peak Walk by Tissot, the Ice Express, the Glacier Walk, and more. Return to Montreux. Overnight stay in Montreux.

Day 9: Montreux to Interlaken

Enjoy a scenic train journey on the GoldenPass Panoramic train to Interlaken. You’ll pass through alpine forests, bubbling mountain springs, and picturesque mountain villages. Overnight stay in Interlaken.

Day 10: Interlaken – Schilthorn

After a 32-minute trip from Stechelberg by aerial cableway, reach the summit of the Schilthorn at 2970 meters. Marvel at the spectacular panorama of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau – the Swiss Skyline. Enjoy the view from a big terrace and the Piz Gloria restaurant, which rotates around its own axis in 45 minutes, gliding past more than 200 mountain peaks. Overnight stay in Interlaken.

Day 11: Interlaken to Zürich – Lindt – Home of Chocolate

Travel by train along Lake Thun to Bern. Optionally, stop to explore Switzerland’s beautiful capital before continuing to Zurich. Visit Lindt – Home of Chocolate, featuring a chocolate fountain, multimedia exhibition, café, workshops, and the largest Lindt Chocolate Shop. Explore the museum with an interactive Chocolate Tour and Show Production facilities. Overnight stay in Zurich.

Day 12: Departure from Zurich

Spend leisure time in Zurich before returning to the Swiss border or airport, or continue your journey individually. This tour can also be booked in the opposite direction.
