Day 1: Arrival in Bangalore – Transfer to Masinagudi

Arrive in Bangalore and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Masinagudi, driving through Mysuru and into the Nilgiri Biosphere through the Sigur plateau forest corridor. The drive takes approximately 5.5 to 6 hours and the final stretch through Bokkapuram brings the dry deciduous forest right up to the road. Check in at your jungle stay on the Masinagudi fringe by late afternoon. Spend the evening on the property. The forest boundary is close enough that elephant, gaur and spotted deer are occasionally visible from the resort perimeter as the light drops. Overnight stay in Masinagudi.

Day 2: Mudumalai Wildlife and Forest Exploration

After an early breakfast, head out for a morning jeep safari into Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. The forest tracks through the dry teak and bamboo belt offer the best chance of sighting gaur, spotted deer, elephant, wild dog and occasionally leopard in the early hours. Return for lunch and spend the afternoon at Theppakadu Elephant Camp, where working elephants managed by the Forest Department have been part of this landscape for generations. In the late afternoon, drive to Moyar River viewpoint and the Sigur plateau edge for the evening light over the dry forest canopy. End the day with a nature walk around your resort boundary if the property permits one. Overnight stay in Masinagudi.

Day 3: Masinagudi – Mudumalai – Departure to Bangalore

Start with an early morning nature walk or a second jeep safari slot if available and pre-booked. After breakfast and check out, drive through Mudumalai and stop at the Forest Interpretation Centre at Theppakadu for a brief overview of the reserve’s wildlife and conservation history. Continue through Gudalur and descend via the Mysuru highway back to Bangalore for your departure.
