Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai – Transfer to Bhimashankar

Arrive in Mumbai and meet our tour representative at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Bhimashankar in Pune district, around 210 km away, where the Bhima river rises. The final stretch climbs through forest on a narrow road and should not be driven after dark. After checking in, take darshan at the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga, reached by a flight of steps down from the road into the hollow where the temple stands. Visit the Mokshakund and Sarvatirtha kunds beside it. Overnight stay in Bhimashankar.

Day 2: Bhimashankar – Nashik

An early darshan, when the queue is shortest. After breakfast, check out and drive to Nashik, around 190 km, reaching by afternoon. Check in and visit Panchavati, the Kalaram Temple and the Ramkund on the Godavari. End the day at the river ghats during the evening aarti. Overnight stay in Nashik.

Day 3: Trimbakeshwar

An early start for Trimbakeshwar, around 30 km from Nashik, for darshan at the Jyotirlinga set below the Brahmagiri hill from which the Godavari rises. Queues here are substantial and the morning should be kept clear for it. Later, visit the Kushavarta Kund, regarded as the river’s source point, and the Nivrittinath Samadhi Temple nearby. Return to Nashik in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Nashik.

Day 4: Nashik – Shirdi – Aurangabad

After breakfast, check out and drive to Shirdi, around 90 km. Take darshan at the Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir and visit Dwarkamai and Chavadi. Continue to Aurangabad, around 130 km further, reaching by evening. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

Day 5: Grishneshwar and Ellora

After breakfast, drive to Ellora, around 30 km. Take darshan at the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, the last of the twelve, rebuilt in the 18th century under Ahilyabai Holkar. Continue to the Ellora Caves, 34 rock-cut Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monuments along a basalt escarpment, of which Cave 16, the Kailasa temple, is carved downward from a single rock face. The site is closed on Tuesdays. Stop at Daulatabad Fort or Khuldabad on the return. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

Day 6: Aurangabad – Aundha Nagnath – Nanded

After breakfast, check out and drive east to Aundha Nagnath in Hingoli district, around 220 km, a Hemadpanthi stone temple of the Yadava period with carved panels on the outer walls. Take darshan, then continue to Nanded, around 60 km further. Visit the Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib gurudwara in the evening. Overnight stay in Nanded.

Day 7: Nanded – Parli Vaijnath

After breakfast, drive to Parli in Beed district, around 130 km, where the Vaijnath temple stands on a hill approached by a broad flight of steps. Take darshan and visit the Parli tirtha kunds. Continue to Latur or Ambajogai for the night, where accommodation is better, with a stop at the Yogeshwari Temple and the Kholeshwar rock-cut caves at Ambajogai if time allows. Overnight stay in Latur or Ambajogai.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, check out. Travellers flying out transfer to Nanded or Aurangabad. Travellers returning by road to Pune should expect a long drive of around 380 km and an early start. Transfer for your onward journey.
