Day 01: Latpanchar Arrival and Teesta River Views

Namaste!!! You will be greeted by our representative who will receive you from Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Station and proceed towards Latpanchar crossing the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary en route to Sevoke where the mighty Teesta River will accompany you till Kalijhora; from Kalijhora a left turn up the narrow mountain road brings you to Latpanchar where you will check in to your homestay, have lunch and relax. Latpanchar sits at about 1520 MTR/5000 FT above sea level on the highest part of the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary and is known for its cinchona plantations, medicinal plants and rich birdlife including around 250 species and the rare Rufous Necked Hornbill, offering beautiful views of Mount Kanchenjunga on clear days. Spend your evening at leisure exploring nature. Overnight stay in Latpanchar.

Day 02: Latpanchar Ahal Top Sunrise and Shelpu Views

Wake up at dawn for an unforgettable sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga from Ahal Top about 3 KMS from Latpanchar with vistas of Kurseong, Kalimpong, Namchi, Dooars, Siliguri and the Teesta River; return to your homestay for breakfast and later explore the region visiting Shelpu for natural views of the Darjeeling Hills and distant Kanchenjunga and Namthing Pokhari where you may spot the rare Himalayan salamander fish though the lake often remains dry; return to your homestay by afternoon for lunch and relax, then spend the evening at leisure. Day 03: Sittong Arrival and Orange Orchards

After breakfast check out from your homestay and proceed approximately 12 KMS (30–45 minutes) to Sittong; upon arrival check in to your homestay, have lunch and relax. Sittong, the orange country of the Darjeeling Hills, is a cluster of villages known for oranges, unspoilt natural beauty, sunrise and sunset views over Kanchenjunga, nature trails, low altitude treks, bird and butterfly watching, village excursions and close local cultural experiences. Day 04: Sittong Orange Gardens and Monastery Views

After breakfast visit the orange gardens and Sittong Church and proceed to an old monastery in Upper Sittong from where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga on a clear day; return to your homestay in the afternoon for lunch and relaxation and spend the evening at leisure. Day 05: Lamahatta via Jogighat and Mungpoo

After breakfast check out and proceed to Lamahatta (approximately 32 KMS/2–2.5 hours) with en route visits to Jogighat for a riverside picnic on the banks of the Riyang River and Mungpoo to see the colonial style Tagore bungalow premises; upon reaching Lamahatta check in to your farmstay, have lunch and relax. Lamahatta (approx elevation 1700 MTR/5600 FT) is famed for pristine pine forests, serene valley views, and on clear days full vistas of Kanchenjunga—ideal for quiet time in nature. Day 06: Lamahatta Roadside Garden and Takdah Tea Estate

After an early breakfast enjoy a half day sightseeing of Lamahatta beginning with the Roadside Garden, a manicured slope garden with wooden and bamboo gazebos and a machan watch tower for best views; hike to a small lake surrounded by pine forest and prayer flags, then visit nearby Takdah Tea Estate to view rolling tea gardens with Kanchenjunga in the backdrop, and continue to Peshok View Point (about 8 KMS towards Kalimpong) to view Triveni, the confluence of the Teesta and Rangeet rivers. Return to your farmstay by afternoon for lunch and relax; spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Lamahatta.

Day 07: Kalej Valley Arrival and Rainbow Waterfalls

After breakfast check out from your farmstay and proceed to Kalej Valley (approx 21 KMS/1–1.5 hours); upon arrival check in to your resort, have lunch and relax. Kalej Valley is an offbeat destination on the slopes of Kalej Valley Tea Estate offering a nature-centric stay near Darjeeling; post lunch visit the Rainbow Waterfalls on foot and spend the evening at leisure in the resort. Overnight stay in Kalej Valley.

Day 08: Darjeeling Sunrise and Batasia Loop

At dawn your car will pick you up from the resort around 3:45 AM to reach Tiger Hill (2490 MTR/8495 FT) by about 4:30 AM for a sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga and, on crystal clear days, distant summits of Everest Lhotse and Makalu; on the return visit Batasia Loop and Ghum Monastery then return to the resort for breakfast. After breakfast enjoy a full day sightseeing of Darjeeling visiting Padmaja Naidu Zoological Gardens (home of the Red Panda), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock for amateur rock climbing, Happy Valley Tea Estate, Darjeeling Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (closed on Sunday), Bengal Natural History Museum (closed on Sunday), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda; lunch is on your own in Darjeeling. Return to the resort in the evening to relax. Overnight stay in Kalej Valley.

Day 09: Tabakoshi Arrival and Tea Garden Walks

After breakfast check out from your resort and proceed to Tabakoshi (approx 41 KMS/2–2.5 hours) via scenic pine forests, passing Simana Bazaar where the motorable road marks the India Nepal border; you may visit Pashupati Market in Nepal for shopping and stop for photos at Gopaldhara Tea Estate en route. Upon reaching Tabakoshi check in to your homestay, have lunch and relax. Tabakoshi is tea country surrounded by Sagmaru, Gopaldhara and Mangarjang Tea Estates at about 910 MTR/3000 FT with the Rangbhang River meandering through tea gardens and orange orchards—ideal for hikes, bird watching and peaceful nature walks. Spend the evening by the Rangbhang River. Overnight stay in Tabakoshi.

Day 10: Mirik Excursion and Sumendu Lake Boating

After breakfast take a half day excursion to Mirik (about 6 KMS uphill from Tabakoshi, approx 30 minutes) and enjoy Sumendu Lake with boating and optional pony rides in the adjoining pine forest; on a clear day spot Kanchenjunga from the lake corner and learn about Mirik’s tea and orange production. Return to your homestay by afternoon for lunch and spend the evening at leisure walking in the nearby tea gardens. Overnight stay in Tabakoshi.

Day 11: Departure to Bagdogra and Tour End

After breakfast check out from your homestay and transfer to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Station (approx 55 KMS/1.5–2 hours) for your onward journey; the tour ends with sweet memories. No overnight stay as the tour concludes at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Station.
