Day 01: Arrival to Tinchuley and Village Walk
Upon arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport you will be greeted and transferred to Tinchuley via Teesta Bazaar and winding hill roads, a drive of around three to three and a half hours depending on road conditions; after checking in to a cozy village homestay enjoy a warm local lunch and some rest, then take a gentle afternoon walk around Tinchuley village, visit nearby orange orchards and soak in views of rolling tea gardens and forested slopes, and spend the evening sipping homemade tea, tasting a simple Nepali style dinner and enjoying the peaceful village silence. Overnight stay in Tinchuley.
Day 02: Tinchuley Gumbadara and Takdah Views
Start the day with breakfast and head to Gumbadara Viewpoint for sweeping views of the Teesta Valley, forested ridges and, on a clear morning, Kanchenjunga; continue toward the quiet colonial‑era settlement of Takdah to see old British bungalows, misty roads and visit the Takdah Orchid Centre, enjoy a local lunch or momos at a village eatery, then visit Lamahatta Eco Park where pine forests, prayer flags, walking trails and calm viewpoints create a soothing mountain experience, return to Tinchuley by evening to spend time with your hosts and taste homemade local food. Overnight stay in Tinchuley.
Day 03: Departure Tinchuley and Teesta Views
After breakfast check out from your homestay and begin the return transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, with a brief stop near Teesta Bazaar for river views and a cup of tea if time permits; travel responsibly by carrying back plastic waste, respecting the village quietness and staying prepared for sudden mountain weather changes as the tour concludes with happy memories of your time in Tinchuley.

Tinchuley was one of the most peaceful places we have visited in North Bengal. The orange orchards, forest walks and valley views created a perfect slow-travel experience. Ocean6 Holidays arranged everything beautifully including the homestay, food and local sightseeing. Gumbadara Viewpoint during sunrise was absolutely magical and the quiet atmosphere made the trip feel very special.
Our Tinchuley trip with Ocean6 Holidays was relaxing and beautifully organized. The homestay hosts were extremely warm and the homemade Nepali meals were delicious. We loved walking through Lamahatta Eco Park and exploring the misty Takdah roads together. The entire journey felt calm, authentic and far away from crowded tourist spots.
